I like shooting a range of looks which allows for a variety of images and shots to be used for different marketing purposes. I don’t put a strict limit on the number of shots I take per look, and generally shoot each look until I feel we’ve got it covered.I like shooting in both vertical and horizontal formats and am happy to frame the images as you like.
Part of my process is to edit the session with you as we go. When we are done I’ve usually shot anywhere between 200 and 250 shots during my Brand sessions and you'll end up with somewhere between 100-150 final shots that as potential candidates to use. By shooting and editing in this manner we can adjust the focus of the shots during the session to account for anything that you feel we may have missed. You'll know exactly what you will be working with when you walk out of my studio because we have gone through this process.
The shots will be made available on your own password protected website www.crystalblake.smugmug.com. You can view and download the entire Hi-Res file and give out your password to anyone that who might help you choose the shots you decide to use. The site is a perfect tool for choosing your shots and remains online for a minimum of 6 months from your shoot date. If you are using the site and would like it to remain online longer then just ask and I will keep it active for you.
I really like Folks to bring at least 4 to 8 different options for clothing. For headshots, you’ll really just need to concentrate on tops (unless you’d like some 3/4 and full length shots). Rule #1: You have to love it! I don't want to shoot anything that you don't feel comfortable wearing. If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t shoot well while wearing it. Trust me.
I suggest bringing a wide variety of colors. Don't be seasonal;I love textures and layers, but would generally stay away from crazy patterns. If it's not in the studio we can't shoot it, so if you find yourself questioning whether or not something will work just bring it along. If you feel your wardrobe is lacking and you have no idea what to bring, I suggest you work with my stylist that way when you show up it's all taken care of!
